Not too often I get excited about dry weather but as gloomy and damp as October was up here, I am welcoming what appears to be a more stable pattern for the next week or so. The bean and corn harvest is running well behind schedule now but hopefully the farmers can get out this week. Our firearms deer season opens next Saturday and the area we hunt is farm/forest transition and a sea of thousands of acres of corn does not help our cause of putting meat in the freezer for another year.
Melinda and I did take some time after the Halloween festivities to do a little sight seeing around home this morning before settling into a quiet Sunday evening before the work week starts up again.
