Not feeling really motivated to get out and shoot the snow moon the last couple of nights. Sunday night was very impressive at moonrise but after a long day, I had no desire to go out. Last night on a whim Cailyn and I headed out to Pelican Lake near home to watch the moonrise. Mind you we still have over 3 FEET of ice and the opening day of baseball is April 12th here. Yikes!
Looks like something downright evil is lurking on the other side of the sun. A couple of impressive CME's have been hurled out in the last 24 hours. It will definitely be worth keeping a close eye on as whatever it is rotated to the earth facing side.
Anyhow, I didn't get the shot I was looking for as Cailyn and I were trying to make it look like she was holding the moon up out in the middle of the lake but here are a couple of the duds cropped one way or another. Shot with the D200 and the 70-200 f2.8 lens.
