I've officially called off tomorrow's chase in KS. Each model run has been pushing the best dynamics further and further east for the dryline event and with storm moving 40-50 mph I just don't see the point in a 1500+ mile trip for a single day event. I am starting to think the WF may still be a better play across central KS tomorrow. We'll see.
So we have all seen some moron chaser who parks in the road and sets up a tripod or two while while pissing off everyone else trying to use the road. Guess what? It happens with wildlife photographers too!
This idiot stopped and set up two tripods on a one way only drive in the Sherburne NWR this morning because there were two eagles sitting along side an active nest. The white sign on the right side states "PLEASE VIEW EAGLE NEST FROM INSIDE YOUR VEHICLE" Any responsible wild photog does what it takes as not to disturb or in this case stress the wildlife. As I did by best to get around them on the left, the person looked at me with this BIG smile. Wow, I hope you are proud. Everyone else was laughing at you.
Frost on the windows Sunday morning.
Have a good week people! If you chase, stay safe!
