May 28 2016 North Central Iowa - Quest for the Needle 2016 Begins

This day was the start of many this season where the basic set up was weak instability but good directional shear.

I became a believer in the SPC's Non Supercell Tornado (NST) parameter this day as I missed the tornado further west closed to the low.

The participation award this day was a half way decent shelf cloud near Forest City, IA
