Eagle migration

A very ho hum weather pattern in place up here so trying to make it out looking for eagles as they migrate south for the winter following the huge flocks of tundra swans. Headed down to the Mississippi River bottoms on the Prairie Island Indian Reservation. I saw a few very high flying eagles but could not tell if they were Goldens or Balds without the binoculars. Will probably head back out this weekend with the kids if it warms up a little.

Just enough snow around to create some annoying slippery spots on the road.

The backwaters of the Mississippi on the Prairie Island reservation.

And finally this guy. I think this may be a juvenile Golden. He was a long ways away and did not want to hold still to pose.
