Last day of boring brown

Looks like we will finally have winter whack us starting tomorrow morning. We have been below freezing (and below 20F) for 5 days now. Today was full sun with a high of 16F so no problem with warm ground. Depending on how warm the H925 to H85 level gets will dictate how much snow we end up with. I wouldn't rule out over 10" if we avoid the sleet. I'm too far north for the FZRA but northern IA is going to be a freakin' mess by Sunday morning.

Cams are bagged and ready to go tomorrow!

Kids and I enjoyed the last snow-free day to check out some of the ice near our home.

I little trick I learned from the guys who make some show called Deadliest Catch. I prefer the gallon zip lock baggies :)

Um ok, and they have a big budget to replace cameras and parts.

Anything exposed like the LCD that gets wet will fry. You want to get a Petrol rain cover.

We have slip covers for the LCD's with a thin piece of electrical tape around the hinge. It works. Will invest in the Petrol covers next season just to keep dirt out too.
