Spring migration almost here

Starting to see some tracts of the Mississippi open up. Lots of diver ducks (bills and goldeyes) moving tonight. Found a new place to get into the north side of the river near Monticello. Kind of a hike but worth it as didn't see another person for a change. There was a great horned owl nearby also. I caught a glimpse of him once but too far away to get any photos. Still was cool to hear him and send groups of ducks and geese into a frenzy every time he moved from tree to tree.

A pair of Canadian geese take flight as a great horned owl passes nearby

Last light as I hike out of the woods one day closer to spring

One fun photo playing with a long exposure and a little LED light

That LED picture is really cool. I'm going to be in the market for a longer lens soon here, so I'll be hitting you up for advice.
