One last day with the eagles

Kids and I hit a spot along the Mississippi near Red Wing, MN on March 1st. Saw 31 eagles (30 bald and 1 golden). Spring migration and nesting is close so not likely we will make the trip again this year. These are all low res crops shot with the 70-200 f2.8. Lighting was HORRIBLE again today with a band of thick mid level clouds hanging pretty much right over the river valley the entire time we were out today.



Yes, there are 5 eagles in this picture.

Nice!!!! Great shot of the one flying high! So how do you like the lens?!?! I THINK you can stack extenders on top of each other, so u could go 800 mm on (2) 2x....but at f/11...
