Derech-ZERO

Well, that didn't turn out as planned. What originally was looking like a nice setup to have a bow echo form in the central Dakotas and follow the instability gradient kinda happened but not where I was hoping. After baseball last night, headed home to get some sleep, got up at 2am, took a look at the radar and went right back to bed. Now this morning it is really evident the cold front is loosing it's punch and slowing down considerably. Now we are stuck dealing with a decaying MCS mess which will totally hose the chances for strong instability to rebound as cloud debris will be a problem and what little instability does come back will have a weakly forced cold front as a trigger. Think I'll opt for BW3s after work for a beer and some wings to drown my sorrows.

I'll going you. Here I was, all ready to do some derecho chasing, and all I got was one lousy clap of thunder.

LOL, sounds like a good backup plan. I think just about every chaser in MN may have to join you.
