My pseudo step-daughter, Jessica, is an animal loving nut. We were watching a documentary made by naturalist Timothy Treadwell about the Alaskan grizzly bears in 2003 "The Gizzly Man Diaries". Something about this guy didn't seem quite right as we watched the show...the guy was full of passion about what he was doing and captured just AMAZING images on video and stills. The gist of the story is he and his girlfriend ended up getting killed and eaten by the bears on October 6th, 2003 as they were leaving the bush for the season. After a little Googling this morning, I found this video:

Kinda proved my hunch the guy was just a little mental. However, if you want to see some amazing wilderness images, watch the show.

Good show, also check out 'Into the Wild' if you get a chance, I think we got both from Netflix.
