Kids and I made a trip down to Wabasha, MN to the National Eagle Center. I'll be heading back later this winter a few times to do some shoots of the wild eagles along the Mississippi but this was a good day to hang out with the kids inside so they could see the resident eagles. We saw a total of 17 wild eagles from Red Wing to Wabasha then back up the Wisconsin side of the river back to Red Wing.
Also, Dave tipped me off the eagles are starting to move in along the Minnesota Valley NWR. I was down there last weekend and only saw hawks but today we did see 8 balds between I35 and 77 along Black Dog Road.
