After the floods comes the fire?

Anxiously waiting to see what tomorrow and Friday brings. Willing to be we see red flag warnings through central Minnesota. I know one of the large national wildlife refuges is scheduled to conduct a massive controlled burn in the next few days but I don't see how it is going to happen as the fire danger is going to be extreme until at least Saturday. The NAM doesn't give up much hope for rain to knock down the dry fuel either. Weird as the ground is soaked but just a few inches up and everything is explosively dry. C'mon rain showers.

lol I guess you were right on, Minnesota isn't going to participate in severe season '09, looks like fire chasing may be the highlight of the summer for us.
