There has always been something about the cool nights of August after a cool front passes through. It's probably the hints of what is to come in a few short weeks carried on the west and northwest breezes. Melinda and I ditched the kids for a bit this evening to take a walk out in the Ney Nature Preserve near Maple Lake. Yes, it was one of those evenings when it was good to be out. The ripe black berry patch we found helped too.
